Description
High torque starter motor to fit Petrol VW Type 2 (T3) Transporter / Caravelle / Microbus / Vanagon / T25. Supplied with indexable mounting flange to offer orientation choices. For vehicles with manual transmission only. Fits models shown in lists below. Replaces Lucas LRS00790/599/370.
Originally the VW starter had a 9 tooth 25mm pinion. These starters have an 11 tooth 29mm pinion, offset slightly. The net effect is an even faster cranking speed, on top of that provided by the high torque starter motor.
